OPEN Peer Mentor
Using Educational Technology in the English Language Classroom, an eight-week global online course provided by Iowa State University, as part of the Online Professional English Network (OPEN), previously known as American English (AE) E-Teacher Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by FHI 360.
My roles:
· Provide content and logistical support to course participants via email.
· Participate in discussions to acknowledge or clarify participants' posts.
· Liaise between course instructors and participants.
· Troubleshoot basic problems with the course platform (Canvas).

ISUComm Peer Mentor
ISUComm supports first-year graduate teaching assistants as they continue to develop their skills and teach ENGL 250 for the first time.
My roles:

Help TAs develop the skills & confidence to meet ISU's teaching competencies & successfully serve students for the rest of their careers.

Organize meetings for goal setting, lesson plan sharing.

Do class observations.

Organize mentor-led skillshare & midterm grade review.
-
Report to ISUComm program supervisors.
